Sheet · 02 · The jobs

Six job sheets,
each its own spec.

Every job is its own checklist, its own time-on-site, its own bracket spec. We don't shoehorn a fireplace install into a living-room sequence; different walls, different anchors, different sheets.

Sheet · 05 · Quick questions

Questions we
get most weeks.

Seven questions that come up most weeks, answered the way we'd answer them in your kitchen. If yours isn't here, just open a quote — we'd rather write a real reply than make you read a longer page.

What does the job sheet actually look like? +

A single sheet, on workshop letterhead. Top: your details, the install address, and a thumbnail of the photo you sent. Middle: line items (bracket, install, cable hide if requested, patch if requested) with a fixed figure beside each, totalling at the bottom. Bottom: time on site, the bracket model, the warranty terms, and a signature line for both of us.

The version you receive by email and the version we bring on site are identical. We bring two paper copies; one signed for you, one signed for the binder.

Do you bring the bracket? +

Yes. Once you tell us the make and size of your screen, the workshop chooses a bracket matched to both the screen and the wall behind it. The bracket cost is on the job sheet as its own line; included in the flat figure.

If you already own one and would like us to fit yours, we use it and adjust the figure down by the cost we would have charged. We only ever say no if the bracket isn't safe for the wall or the screen.

How long will you be in my home? +

The everyday wall mount runs 45 minutes to an hour. Above-the-fireplace or in-wall cable runs are closer to 90 minutes. We don't book two jobs on top of each other; the time on your job sheet is the time we plan to be there.

Will the cables be visible? +

Depends which roll you choose. On Roll 01 the cables are tied into a neat cord drop down to your console — visible but tidy. On Roll 02 and Roll 03 the cables go inside the wall via a code-compliant kit, with the power outlet relocated behind the screen, so nothing shows between the TV and the console at all.

Can you mount above a gas fireplace? +

Usually, but we always check on-site. We let the fireplace burn at peak for 10–15 minutes and read the surface temperature where the screen would sit. If the wall gets uncomfortable to touch, we recommend either a pull-down bracket that brings the screen down in use, or — honestly — a different wall. We don't mount screens we believe will cook.

Do you take cards? +

Card, bank transfer, or cheque — whichever's easiest. The invoice (same figure as the job sheet) arrives by email the evening of the install; we'd rather you took a day to settle it than dug for a card at the door.

Are you insured? +

Fully — public liability and workmanship. The 12-month workmanship warranty runs from the date your signed job sheet says: if anything about our work fails inside that window, we come back at no cost. The insurance certificate is available on request before the install.
